Brother HL 1850 Printer Toner Cartridge A Workhorse Of Sorts
The HL 1850 Toner has made it possible for home offices and small companies to own an affordable laser printer. This printer is not only an affordable printer but it also has enough speed and features to rival expensive printers out there. The expandability of this printer is enough to meet the needs of almost any small or growing office. However the printer could have had a larger printer capacity.
This printer is so cost effective that managers don’t need to think twice before they replace their tired old printer. The workgroup features built into this printer is good enough reason to kick out your old printer for this new one. This printer works out of the box with no hassle which is a big plus.
The well illustrated guide that accompanies the printer makes installation of the HL 1850 Toner quick and hassle free. The printer can connect either via USB ports or via sans cable which ships with the unit. The front panel of the printer has a three color LCD which makes read outs clear as well as four buttons that allow you to choose and change paper and perform many other operations.
The CD Rom that comes along with the printer has a detailed user guide in.PDF document. This guide makes it easy for you to set things up and perform regular maintains. The built-in Ethernet adapter can be used to make the printer a member of you local network. An extra set of 16MB memory can be added to increase the ram to 32 MB.
There are some good things about the paper handling of this printer and there are some disappointments. The biggest disappointment I have is that this laser printer has a small paper capacity. This printer can just hold around 350 sheets of paper with is not a lot. However for another two hundred dollars you can add another 250 sheet tray. This still isn’t large enough if you compare it with the other printers out there.
On the up side this printer has a great integrated duplexer which is blazing fast and requires no intervention from you. The drivers that accompanies the printer makes it possible for you to chose between either flipping the paper to the left or the right or to the bottom edge. The preset settings let you choose and adjust your printer for stuff such as paper type and size as well as print quality.
You also get a reset button on each tab with means if you don’t like the changes you made you can reset it to its defaults. However there is a lack of a universal reset button which in my opinion should be there. This printer is pretty fast at 19pps.
At 19 pages per second this printer is really fast. As compared to many of the other printers on the market this one does a good job of printing text and graphics. The HL 1850 Toner has a good capacity which allows it to last much longer than others.
