Conference Calling
Conference calling is a system of communication between various parties which works like a telephone call. Normally there are 3 types of conference calling; web, video and audio conferencing. This is system is in constant use in companies whose branches are spread across the World and require communications with each other regularly.
There are also pros and cons of having conference calls which has been outlined below.
The most basic advantage is that it is cost effective than phone calls, as you can invite more than one parties to attend the conference, whereas you will have to ring all the conference individually if it was through a phone call. The feature of video conferencing of being able to view the caller is another big advantage of call conferencing as it is always good to put a face to the voice.
However even after these advantages there are still some disadvantages by choosing call conferencingsuch as while choosing to do a audio conferencing some of the jokes or remarks can be misunderstood into something else by individuals as they are not able to see the facial expression of the conference caller. Another disadvantage can be the quality of the call, when you add more and more people to the conference the quality becomes more and more less. The advantage of having an audio or web conferencing is it turns out to be cheaper than the video conferencing. Web conferencing services might be cheaper than the audio and video but it also has its downside which is time taken for communication by typing. Text based communcation in the past has caused a lot of misunderstand between different conferencing members.
Conference calling is one of the best ways of communication within many parties but it also has its ups and lows, they all work but choosing the right one is upto you to decide, why not try all of them and see which one works the best for you.
