“I have been distilling about one gallon of tap water in this unit everyday for the past five years. This unit is still going strong. It works as it should. I am very glad that I made the investment in this product. After the gallon of tap water is distilled, what is left over in the tank is all the muck from the water that I and my child don’t have to put into our bodies. I wipe the unit after every gallon distilled and rinse it about every five gallons distilled. It really is easy maintenance. There is a one gallon GE Lexan container, as mentioned above, that comes with the Waterwise 4000 that can easily be stored in the refrigerator. For travel convenience, the bottle goes inside the distiller. For compact storage and portability the collector bottle sits inside the distiller.
